Years ago we dreamed about shooting at Nestledown and just a few weeks ago we did. Cheryl and Dae-Jin’s wedding was sweet and magical just like the location at Nestledown. After meeting one another in high school and spending nearly all of their 10 year relationship long distance they finally tied the knot and will be spending the rest of their lives right next to one another, in the same city!
“Nestledown was a location that felt a lot like home to them and for their guests coming from out of town and unfamiliar with the Santa Cruz Mountains, they wanted them to share what “home” is all about. Trees, fresh air, the change of seasons, and a feeling of quiet solitude.” Cheryl said.
Some of the DIY elements for their wedding were:
- The flower centerpieces which were made with fabric and paper and placed in blue Ball mason jars borrowed from a friend.
- Small wooden rounds under the vases were crafted from the bride’s father. The trees were found in backyard of her parent’s property.
- Her Birdcage veil
- Their wedding programs
- Calligraphy done by the bride for the guestbook elements and the table number
Everything about this wedding was very much so Cheryl + Dae-Jin and we were so glad to be a part of it! I mean who wouldn’t love a wedding when the guests were screaming “GET THE PHOTOGRAPHER” during the hora. I had to split the awesomeness of their wedding into two posts, so please enjoy….
